LCST Handbook Amendment
Please note the following meet entry process for the 2009 swim season.
This year parents MUST sign their swimmer(s) up for the meets that they will be swimming in. Sign-ups can be done through the Barracudas website at www.lcbarracudas.org. For those that do not have internet access, a sign-up note may be written in the head coach’s notebook at the pool by Monday.
Sign-up Deadline
Entries must be
received by 7 p.m. on the Monday before the meet.
At the beginning of the season, parents may sign up their children for all of the meets that they want them to swim in, or they may sign up each week by the deadline (Mon, 7 p.m.).
Sign-up Deadline Missed
If the sign-up deadline is missed, the swimmer can still swim the next meet but only as an exhibition swimmer by signing up with the clerk of course by 7 a.m. on the morning of the meet and may only swim in individual events for time but can not be entered into relays. Exhibition swimmers will get a participation ribbon for each event that they swim.
Removal From Meet After Sign-up
If a swimmer has committed to swim in a meet through the sign-up process but subsequently can not swim due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, the parent MUST notify the clerk of course by 7 a.m. on the morning of the meet.
Removal From Event During the
Meet
If a swimmer has to scratch an event during the meet due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, the parent MUST notify the clerk of course and either Coach Ashley or Coach Stefani.
No-show Penalty
First Offense - If a swimmer has committed to swim in a meet but no-shows the meet or an event for which they were entered without notifying the clerk of course and this is their first offense, the swimmer will not be allowed to swim in any relays in the next meet.
Second Offense – If a swimmer has committed to swim in a meet but no-shows the meet or an event for which they were entered without notifying the clerk of course and this is their second offense, the swimmer can only swim in the next meet as an exhibition swimmer by signing up with the clerk of course by 7 a.m. on the morning of the meet.
